Creative Southport College students use their skills to make a soap opera
Creative Media students at Southport College have been working hard to develop storylines, scripts and shooting schedules to create their very own soap opera.
The production has been organised exactly as it would be in industry and each student has had the chance to do all of the jobs associated with making a soap, from director through to runner. The Creative Media students have also collaborated with Performing Arts students who were auditioned and cast in all of the roles.
Watch the first episode of ‘Baffled?’ on the Southport College YouTube channel to see new episodes as they are released.
Media lecturer Sara Cassidy said “This is a fantastic learning experience for all the students involved, giving them the opportunity to express their creative ideas and learn valuable skills which they can transfer into their future careers.”
