Open Evening Success

Open Evening Success

Southport College hosted another successful open evening on Wednesday 10 October with hundreds of school leavers from the area visiting our Mornington Road Campus.

During the busy and exciting event, as well as meeting staff and students, visitors were able to explore the College and view or take part in experiments, activities and demonstrations in classrooms and workshops. From fingerprinting, facials, and racket sports to Photoshop, networking and game making there was something to interest everyone.

Visitors were also treated to a showcase of songs, monologues and dance pieces in our Performing Arts theatre and were invited to sample cakes and other sweet treats created by trainee chefs on the Professional Cookery courses.

Staff members were on hand to give advice on careers, funding and travel and Principal John Clarke and Vice Principal Anne-Marie Francis presented detailed information about student success, support and life at Southport College.

Whether you’re a school leaver in Year 11, an adult thinking of returning to education or you’re interested in our wide range of HE courses don’t miss the opportunity to visit us at our next open evening on Monday 26 November from 5.00pm-8.00pm.

We look forward to seeing you there.
