Supported Internships is a new programme offered at Southport College for young people with a learning disability that allows them to demonstrate how much they have to offer to employers.
Students are matched to employers and learning is individualised to meet both needs of the future employee and the employer.
Participating students gain work experience developing skills valued by employers and the overall aim is that the student will gain confidence and grow in ability, proving themselves to be a future hardworking, confident and capable employee.
