Statement from our Principal

I am delighted you are thinking of studying at the Southport College University Centre. You will find a wealth of information on the higher level qualifications offered in Southport. We aim to give all our students an exceptional experience and the University Centre and our specialist facilities provide the best possible environment for higher level studies, preparing you for success in your chosen field. As a University Centre, we are in the unique position of being able to offer higher level study in a smaller, more specialised environment.

Our students benefit from being able to access all of the University Centre facilities, whilst also enjoying the benefits of a smaller, more specialised provision. We offer affordable course fees, smaller class sizes, unrivalled levels of support and expert tuition from our highly experienced, industry practiced professionals. Our higher education programmes can also be studied flexibly, alongside work, family or other commitments and where possible, we aim to offer students the opportunity to gain an array of relevant, professional experience through work on live briefs and projects. Our History

Southport College University Centre, while still a part of the wider college, has its own dedicated classrooms, workspaces and facilities. The University Centre has been teaching higher education students for many years and some students like the College so much they study a school leaver course and then progress to the University Centre. We are proud of all our students’ achievements and we take the opportunity to celebrate with our HE students at the annual graduation ceremony.

Graduation Ceremony at Holy Trinity Church

Celebrated in the stunning surroundings of Holy Trinity Church, students gather to receive recognition of their hard work and achievements, whilst celebrating with family, friends and teaching staff. Featuring guest speakers, presentations of specific awards and refreshments reception, the annual graduation ceremony provides an unforgettable day for graduands, as we celebrate current successes and wish them all well in their future careers. Graduates on externally validated University programmes are also eligible to attend the accrediting University’s graduation ceremony.
