Lindsey Joyce, one of our adult evening art class students has won a live brief; designing a bag for life that will be printed and used at the foodbank run by Compassion Acts.
Fellow student, Anthony Hindle was also praised and highly commended for his design. We’re so very pleased the students could get involved with such a great charity and help reduce the stigma felt. Really looking forward to seeing Lindsey's beautifully designed bags in action!
Background on the live brief:
Compassion Acts are the local charity which runs not only the Southport Foodbank for emergencies but also a range of other projects including 5 Food Pantries, a community market, a zero waste stall and a school uniform exchange.
It is for these projects rather than Foodbank that they sought an attractive ‘bag for life’ design. The overall theme is for something modern and stylish that will be accessible to not only their service users but will also be available to purchase by the general public- therefore the bag is in the hands of a wider range of people, reducing any stigma felt.
