You're Virtually Here For the time being, we've switched to hosting our Open Events to fantastic, interactive 360º tours of the college. You still get to look round our state of the art facilities including our professional Clouds restaurant and bar along with our working Concept salons. If you love the idea of running a hotel or restaurant then our Hospitality course can be the first step towards your ideal job. Once you’ve completed your training you can choose from a wide range of job roles and hospitality environments including conference and event centres, cruise ships, theme parks, tourist destinations and resorts as well as restaurants and hotels.

At Clouds Restaurant, the public can come and enjoy a fine dining experience in stylish surroundings with panoramic views of Southport’s skyline.
Students benefit from our workshops for bricklaying, electrical, engineering, motor vehicle, painting & decorating and plumbing & gas, all of which are realistic working environments kitted out with the latest industry standard equipment.
Concept Salons offer a range of beauty, hairdressing and barbering treatments to both male and female clients of all ages.
Our Sports Hall is used for wide range of sports and other activities and we also have a well-equipped Fitness Suite packed with gym equipment, cardio machines and free weights for Southport College students to use free of charge.
Students can take time to sit and re-fuel in our canteen and coffee shop which has a wide range of meals, drinks and snacks.
Performing Arts Theatre
Students perform in our 100+ seat theatre throughout the year and also make use of the rehearsal rooms, dance studio and recording studio.
Childcare students work with visiting toddlers and preschoolers in our full equipped bright and airy nursery room.
Creative Arts Studios
Students on our creative courses, such as Art, Games Design, Creative Media, Graphic Design and Photography have access to fantastic equipment and facilities, mac rooms, gallery space, studios, a darkroom and the latest specialist software.
Health & Social care students are able to benefit from working in our hospital ward simulation unit. This great facility gives our students hands on experience of using electronic beds and also includes pregnancy and ageing simulation suits to enable practice of specialist patient care and observation.
Crime Scene Room
Students can practise their investigation skills in our specialist crime scene room.
Our recently expanded science laboratories are filled with specialist equipment which is used regularly by our Science and Forensic & Criminal Investigations students.

Can I do a tour of the College?
We offer Campus Tours for potential students, teachers and parents. Contact our school liaison team to book an appointment.
Do I need to book a place at an Open Evening?
You don’t need to book a place to visit us at one of our open events, just come along on the day. Our open evenings run from 5.00pm-8.00pm on Monday 25 November, Tuesday 3 March and Monday 1 June at our campus on Mornington Road, Southport. Everyone is welcome.
Can I book a Taster Session myself or do I need to do it through my school?
You can book onto one of our taster events yourself, however, some do take place during the school so we would ask that you get permission from your school before attending. To discuss taster options please contact our school liaison team.
