We are seeking a passionate and experienced Curriculum Leader to lead our thriving ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) provision, responsible for leading and managing the ESOL program, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, and supporting staff to improve learner outcomes. This role involves curriculum development, staff management, and strategic planning for the ESOL department. You will be responsible for the delivery, and quality of our courses, across two sites, ensuring they meet the needs of students and employers.
You will have previous experience of ESOL 19+ adult learners. Previous experiences are desired of leading a team of new and experienced team members, with an excellent track record of achieving results above national benchmarks. You will have demonstrable experience of teaching in the FE sector, various funding streams and develop courses that bring in commercial income along with consistently very good or outstanding observation feedback. The post holder will be responsible for a range of ESOL qualifications at Entry level through to Level 1 to teach English to speakers of other languages (ESOL), helping them develop their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. You will create engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback to ensure learners achieve their language goals.
The successful post holder will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic professional with proven ESOL teaching expertise and strong leadership skills. They will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the outstanding quality of the provision, managing delivery across two sites while fostering a culture of excellence. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, conducting initial assessments, and leading on promotional activities to drive recruitment. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of a flagship provision, ensuring it remains sector-leading and reflective of best practice.
