Jennifer joined the Corporation as a Parent Governor in November 2021. She is a Primary School Business Manager with responsibility for HR, GDPR, Finance, Premise Management and Health and Safety. She also has over 30 years’ experience across a range of sectors including banking and social housing, providing a valuable range of cross-sector insight to the Corporation.
Jennifer’s daughter started in 2020, providing Jennifer and her family with first-hand experience of how supportive the college is in providing learning tailored to meet the needs of the individual students. Jennifer felt that she was able to give back to the college with the use of her skills and time as a parent governor. "My daughter has thrived and has made fantastic progress thanks to a cohesive approach between the college staff, my daughter and us as parents, we cannot thank Southport College enough".
In her spare time Jennifer sings in a worship group, plays the euphonium and conducts a brass band.

Meet our Governors
The College’s Governors are led by Chair of the Corporation Christine Bampton, Vice Chair Paul Walker and Principal Michelle Brabner. They are supported by a number of independent governors, staff governors and a parent governor.
The individuals who serve as independents on the board of governors are from a diverse range of backgrounds and use their skills and experiences to play a vital role in the development of the College.
