Southport College has helped me to design an alternative style and incorporate different textures and styles into my artwork over the past few years. I’m a unique individual and college has really help me come out of my shell. I aspire to be a tattooist but I want to venture into fashion design and clothing.
About My Project
"The development of my final imagery is inspired by Lucifer, and the Church of Satan, I was inspired by both traditional satanic culture and popular culture representations of sin such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
I wanted to incorporate screen printing so decided a clothing line would be a good way to showcase my ideas. I used motifs such as a statue of Baphomet for one design, and as goat for another because of its close affiliation with Satan. I then incorporated religious sayings in my design such as “forgive me father for I have sinned” when confessing sins in church. To ensure my final photographs were atmospheric and in keeping with my theme we shot in a local grave yard."
