Millie Buckley
Millie is a Level 3 Creative Media student at Southport College. She has been studying at College for 2 years and successfully completed Level 2 Media, getting a distinction grade. Millie has a passion in photography and does photography outside of college, as a hobby and would love to pursue her dreams of becoming a Wildlife Photographer in the future.
Lego Stop Motion Music Video
For the final Major project this year, Millie created Stop Motion animation by using Lego figures to finally make a music video, to the song ‘Your My Best Friend’ by Queen. The reason Millie chose an animation is because in Level 2 Media she experienced making a stop motion and enjoyed it. Also, the friends T.V show Lego inspired her to choose the theme of friendship and kindness for the music video.
The Process of Millie’s project consisted of planning beforehand such as drawing a storyboard, making a shot list and completing a shooting schedule. She said this helped her to stay organised throughout the project. As Millie’s stop motion animation was being placed into ‘Reality’ she used the technique of Chroma keying and Green Card, so she got the best outcome when it came to editing. Even though it was difficult at times, Millie enjoyed making this project and would consider doing filming in the future.
