Instagram vs. Reality

About my project

For Shelby’s final major project her aim was to show the difference of instagram versus reality and how social media has had a massive impact on society, how it has changed the way we view ourselves and other people.

During this project she looked at different photographers such as Corinne Day, Annie Leibovitz, both believed in showing the reality of a person or situation. They are both known for taking images that show someones personality or what they were feeling during that moment.

For this project she focused on taking Portraits of her models both in a studio and out on location mostly with a Nikon camera and she has chosen to present her work showing the edited vs unedited version therefore showing Instagram versus reality.
