Hi, I’m Jack and I studied Graphic Design level 3; I chose this course because of the excellent facilities and resources. The college was supportive and helped me get my English GCSE after high school. Next year I am studying Graphic Design at UCLan taking me one-step further on my path to becoming a Graphic Designer.

About my project

"My designs are promotional material and merchandise for a Computer Game. I created a series of designs for t-shirts, hoodies, stickers and posters. I made unique designs inspired by computer games imagery and characters influence by Manga and Japanese Street Style.

The game I created merchandise for is ‘League of Legends’ a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, in which the player controls a character (""champion"") with a set of unique abilities. I explored these existing character designs and from them created imagery inspired by Manga, Japanese Streetwear and Influencers Merch. These designs were used to create clothing and posters.

I kept the designs simplistic, I love Japanese art styles and calligraphy, I included lettering because it fits the theme and chosen art style. I limited my colour palette using black and white with simplistic line drawings. I ended up including key features of the game in my final designs. I included character lore to appeal to the player base as well as people who have not heard of it.

I took a lot of inspiration from Japanese Streetwear as it is very modern and simplistic and is eye catching and stylish. I created designs for clothing for back graphics, as they are one of my favourite ways of showing a design."
