Molly Doyle

I’m a Graphic Design student with a huge interest in animation and illustration. I chose to study at Southport College, after Deyes High School, because this course had so much freedom and so much to offer. I hope to study at Edge Hill University in animation and start my career in the animated film industry.

About my project

"My final illustration pieces were all created digitally, using Procreate. All illustrations have been designed based on songs and their lyrics. “Must have been the wind” has been inspired by the song of the same name by Alec Benjamin and the art style inspired by the surreal art of Adara Sanchez. My smaller illustrations, that I have created merchandise from were also inspired by songs and their lyrics, taking art inspiration from internet artists like @hollyisnotanartist, art my Shahar and Ellaina Esquivel.

My animation and zines have also been inspired by songs. My animation is aimed to be a lyric/music video of sorts for “Cupids Chokehold/Breakfast in America” by Gym Class Heroes. My zines are also inspired by songs, “Angels like you” by Miley Cyrus and “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence. All of this work was artistically inspired by Yui Shi or @heartmush on Twitter and other social media platforms. All work was completed digitally on Procreate."
