Om Pratumpim

I’m Om, I decided to study Graphic Design as I believe that everything will be digital in the future making Graphic Designers very useful. I chose Southport College because I wanted to learn new skills such as Photoshop and Illustrator. I plan to take over a family business after I finish college; the skills I have learnt will be beneficial.

About my project

"The theme from this project that I have chosen is about 2020, so many people would just like to forget that it ever happened. However, we should forget the kindness and sacrifice that people did to help us. 202 was a bad year from huge forest fires in Australian to a world-wide pandemic and countless deaths across the world fighting for freedom and equality.

This was how started creating my video, I added in clips that I have collected in order of the major event then overload some of them over each other to make it seem urgent and make the video more engaging. I then searched for sad/inspirational music that I can add to the background to link all the events together. I was heavenly inspired by Cee-Roo’s (young Swiss Multimedia Designer) 2020 remixed which included sounds that happened in 2020 across the world and he turned it into music showing the good and the bad.

I also like his series called "Feel The Sound" which takes us on a journey across the world. He uses sound from one country and turns it into music showing the people, culture and landscape. Overall, I think that the video turned out very well, I aimed to show the bad that happened in 202 but also the good. I want people to reflect on 2020 and learn from it not to forget about it and I think I got that through into my video."
