Borys Ryan, Electrical Installation Level 2 I have really enjoyed studying at Southport College. I wanted to get the practical hands on experience in electrical installation and this course was perfect! I have loved the practical learning as well as the positive atmosphere around the college. The staff are great; very cheerful and encouraging and the facilities in the electrical department are really good too. The individual learning spaces for each student are a good size and have really helped me to learn a lot about the trade. Next year I plan to either start an electrical installation Apprenticeship or continue studying here on the Level 3 Electrical Installation course. Doing this course has confirmed that I definitely want to become an electrician in the future!

The tutors are really friendly and understanding with so much knowledge of the industry. With the help of Southport College, I have secured an Apprenticeship at Jaguar Land Rover for next year which is a huge step towards reaching my career goal of becoming a mechatronic engineer. I’d recommend the course to anyone. It’s always good to get a trade and working in the electrical installation industry is really interesting.
