I visited an Open Evening at Southport College and decided it was the college for me. I wanted to do a BTEC in Engineering and the course here is perfect! I am a very practical learner so the practical side of the course has been really enjoyable and has helped me to solidify my learning. The staff are always happy and helpful and the facilities are the best around! This a great college offering some great opportunities for Engineering students. I am very happy that I chose to come here. I have been offered a place at Liverpool John Moores University next year to study Mechanical Engineering.

I chose Southport College because it offered the best opportunity to get into the Engineering industry. I have really enjoyed the Engineering course. I have learnt lots of new skills which allow me to think of different designs and give me the ability to make new products in the future. The staff are friendly and really down to earth and the facilities are great for what you need on the course. I plan to go to Liverpool John Moores University next year to study Mechanical Engineering and in the future would like to work on large engineering projects.
