Our courses
Southport College offers a range of Electrical courses for adults, from Levels 1-3.
We also offer courses for industry experienced electricians including:
- 18th Edition
- Part P FS 1 Certificate of Competence
- PAT Testing
- Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations (2394-01)
- Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2395-01)

Borys Ryan, Electrical Installation Level 2 I have really enjoyed studying at Southport College. I wanted to get the practical hands on experience in electrical installation and this course was perfect! I have loved the practical learning as well as the positive atmosphere around the college. The staff are great; very cheerful and encouraging and the facilities in the electrical department are really good too. The individual learning spaces for each student are a good size and have really helped me to learn a lot about the trade. Next year I plan to either start an electrical installation Apprenticeship or continue studying here on the Level 3 Electrical Installation course. Doing this course has confirmed that I definitely want to become an electrician in the future!
