As part of the Government’s initiative to help people get back to work, tuition fees have been waived for 3 key courses, meaning that Level 2 Accounting (Fast track), Counselling Concepts and An Introduction to IT Packages are now all completely free to Liverpool City Region Residents (which includes Southport and Formby), if you start this January. An amazing opportunity if you are looking to work in any of these fields.
For anyone who is currently facing a career crossroads and wanting to decide what path to take next, we have launched a “New Career Explorer” courses. This runs for 2 days a week over 5 weeks and give you a chance to try a different career each time, helping you choose what you might like to study further. The course explores administration, education and the service industry and is completely free of charge and a really great 1st step.,br>
Finally, if you just fancy trying your hand at something new, there are lots of community learning courses, including cake baking, and Spanish as well as painting, decorating and bricklaying, all for just £10. These courses always fill up fast, so do apply as soon as possible.
Due to the current lockdown, all our January courses are being taught on on line, delivering live interactive lessons with your usual tutor and at the same time, but via Microsoft Teams. However once we can return to face to face learning, rest assured that Southport College is a COVID safe environment and all the necessary measures are in place.
