At Southport College there are a wide range of sports and physical activities on offer for students and staff to take part in.

There are weekly sessions in badminton, 5-a-side football, short tennis, dodgeball, basketball, table tennis, yoga, running, walking, benchball and multi-sports, as well as competitions in short tennis, rounders, table tennis and football.

The College also has representative teams in 11 a side football, volleyball, rugby union and basketball, and these teams compete on a regular basis throughout the year.



So whether you already play sport competitively and want to join one of our teams; you fancy trying something new; or you just want to join in and make new friends whilst you have fun and stay fit; our friendly, experienced and professional sports staff are here to help you.

There is also the fully equipped College gym, which is free to all students and is open throughout the week.

Our Sports Hall is used for a wide range of sports and activities including football, netball, basketball, badminton, volleyball, circuits and more.

Our Fitness Suite is packed with gym equipment, cardio machines and free weights for Southport College student to use free of charge.

The mirrored dance sport studio is used for aerobics, fitness, yoga classes and boxing equipment where students will learn to lead other students and develop their own fitness and flexibility.
