Our vocational courses are designed to prepare you for work in your chosen sector and our investment in realistic work spaces, workshops and cutting edge technology are designed to give you the best possible advantage as you make your way in to further study or on to employment.

Our University Centre courses give you the chance to study for a higher level qualification right on your doorstep, including Access to Higher Education, a fantastic range of HNCs and HNDs, as well as a Certificate in Education or PGCE.

As a student at Southport College you will have access to a wide variety of support services including careers information, advice and guidance, financial support and learning support for identified students.

Southport College is one of the learning providers of Apprenticeships in the area and we offer more than 30 Apprenticeship routes from Level 2 to Level 5 in a wide range of sectors.

Southport College works with many large and small employers. Through these valuable links we can offer students Apprenticeships, higher education courses, creative ‘live’ briefs, guest speakers, work placements and progression opportunities.

Our Commitment

College Governance

The College’s Governors are led by Chair of the Corporation Veronica Fell, Vice Chair Kathy Passant and Principal John Clarke. They are supported by a number of independent governors, staff governors and a parent governor.

Our Partnership

Southport College and King George V College officially merged on 31 January 2018. The merged College’s two sites retain their well-established existing identities but work together to share expertise and good practice offering a comprehensive range of courses for the local community.
